The bento box with soup and sushi is delicious. Totally varied and great quality. The interior is great, you could be in Japan.
Worst restaurant there is !! I ordered food online, the confirmation email and order receipt arrived immediately. Waited 3 hours but no delivery! When I called there were only bad excuses that they didn't receive the order !! How did I get a confirmation email then ?! Never again!!
Last time everything was great again, for the gastro critics below, the price performance would not be okay or I read something from Chinese cooks, etc., should pause and comment objectively, go buy fresh fish, pay employees' wages and think about it How high the leases are in Stuttgart, if these commentators knew something about management, a lot here would be illegible. Some should be ashamed and let them comment.
Corona rules laid out in a tolerable framework ... Service super fast and friendly. Get drinks exactly as ordered. Food: taste and serving of sushi and ramen absolutely great! Ramen portion should be a bit more generous for the price, we know from Düsseldorf and FFM differently from some restaurants. PS: The next time you print a menu, please write in which broth you are using. :)
Amazing service! My fam’s fave TO GO to around the area.
The Shake Teri Ramen are just really crazy. The gyoza is also abnormally cool. As if that weren't enough, the quality of the order is just as good as the food that is ordered on site. It's just abnormal. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Amazing food, great ramen and also a reasonable price. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy an amazing dinner
Fast service! You will be given very good advice on food and drinks. We asked for a sake that goes with our meal. We received great advice! The food came to the table quickly and fresh. The decor of the restaurant is very nice, you feel like you are in Asia yourself. Definitely worth a next visit! Top restaurant!
Unfortunately, nothing is made of the special location. The ramen were like a sticky Bolognese with soggy noodles. The marinated and baked chicken wasn't really flavorful. The dumplings okay, but I doubt they are self made. So what marinade am I wondering? I'm really willing to pay more for food and I understand the very high rent on Calwerstr. But here the price / performance ratio is unfortunately not right. I'm sorry. Perhaps a little less staff costs (there were just as many employees as guests) and more quality in the food.
Nice experience, delicious food! Went yesterday and really enjoyed the meals.
Amazing food and interior, if you want a real Japanese experience that is not just sushi go to this place!
Delicious! At lunchtime there is a cheap lunch meal, which is also quite quickly at the table, so that you can go out to eat during a short break.
Very tasty Japanese restaurant in the heart of Stuttgart. Special recommendation: The Rsmen soups are fantastic. Yasai Ramen is vegetarian and very tasty. The boss is always friendly and happy to advise on the choice of sake. The prices are a bit too high for the quality in my opinion, but still within the range for a full score.
Perfect location. Unfortunately, the outside area is very tightly seated even in the Corona period. Food looks delicious. The Benzobox was unfortunately not that tasty. However, the sushi was very good and so was the gzoya. Homemade Japnese ice tea was really delicious. Prices very high. Wouldn't come back again.
So selling ramen as a restaurant is a cheek There was nothing homemade on the ramen, everything from the can even the broth was just powder: Tasteless and with wrong ingredients After a short time, noodles get drunk because they are the wrong noodles As mentioned in another comment, the store belongs to Chinese people who sell the simplest Japanese cuisine without knowing about cooking Looks good and anyone who has no idea think it's good for something.
Great food and very friendly!
Standard program. Not bad, but it doesn't go above average. Price / performance are not quite the same. For the 2-person record, 60 euros are set too high.
I went there for lunch on the weekend with my girlfriend. For dinner I chose the Bento Tori Teriyaki and my friend the Bento Spicy Tuna. The portion size was filling due to the amount of rice. I also liked the arrangement of the food (see picture). The sushi was fine, however I cannot give a comprehensive opinion, since only kappamaki were included. The onigiri were good, the rice tasted authentic. The vegetables, apart from the cabbage, were unfortunately not authentic. I never got tomatoes / cucumber / corn during my stay in Japan (6 months). The miso soup was in good taste. This applies to both bento boxes. served. The taste of the chicken went in the right direction, but it still differs from the original taste (Tori-Teriyaki Bento). The tuna was good (spicy tuna bento). The service was friendly. The price was about 42 € for both meals as well as a passion fruit spritzer and 1 Asahi beer, I found it too expensive. The decoration of the restaurant had Japanese influences: chairs and tables as well as simple notes on the wall that describe the dishes. o Taste: good, but not traditionally Japanese - Price: expensive (approx. € 42 for 2 drinks and 2 meals) + Service: friendly, fast o Ambience: Japanese elements, but not enough for a real Japanese atmosphere
Very tasty and high quality sushi, best miso soup I have ever tried and incredibly nice owners. Great that you can now order online!
Great place, good food?????
Price: ok for lunch Food: not really Japanese. I have no problem with Chinese cook in every kitchen but the food is just not Japanese, rather Chinese. But it's more a matter of taste. Unfortunately, I didn't like it. Hygiene: the restaurant smells very strongly of chlorine. That didn't help my appetite at all.
Food was delicious! Don't forget to ask for desert, try the Mochi and the Matcha Tea.
Outstanding food and service!
Nice restaurant with good service and good food
Sushi tastes great! I can not recommend the other dishes like ramen or (tori) katsu. Not authentic Japanese. No original Japanese noodle soup. Prices are also very high, there are significantly better authentic Japanese in Stuttgart, where the money is worth. The atmosphere is really great. A Japanese restaurant, but in which no Japanese work.
Great food, 100% recommendable !!!
Atmosphere is amazing and the service I had was great. Waiter is very friendly and the food is quite good especially compared to other places in Stuttgart. The sushi is great and he noodles are really good too. The only issue I have is the price however that does not take much away from my experience. Will definitely come back
A very nice ambience with Japanese atmosphere and super sushi. Will definitely come back!
The food is always delicious and the service is impeccable. The staff is very polite and helpful.
Food is excellent and cost is reasonable. Service is also excellent . I think here is No.1 restaurant in Stuttgart.
Good Traditional Sushi Food but ...... A little expensive
Really nice atmosphere in this Japanese restaurant. I really liked the fact that we had to take off our shoes to join the low table. The sushis were really good. Staff was friendly but they forgot our soups. We realized only when they brought us our sushis and we did not want to ask for it then. Well, except from that a good experience.
Authentic and fresh food, relaxed atmosphere
Good Ramen, great Sushi.
For everyone who wants to have a quiet coffee and experience something new! Very interesting and varied. The staff are very friendly and polite. Be sure to try Mochi ice cream. Had a cheese-ginger cake that was just great.
Worse sushi I've ever had. Tasted like canned tuna and extremely over priced.
Delicious fresh sushi. Considering it's sushi served in the small town of stutgart, it's not bad at all. Loved the tampura and nigori sushi.
The best
Ein Witz, sich als japanisch zu bezeichnen. Run by some Chinese people, who have absolutely no idea of the spirit of a true Japanese restaurant. The service is unprofessional. The quality of the food is half as good as it should be, and the price is double as high as it should be.
First of all, the conclusion: If you would like to eat authentic and delicious Japanese, you should better go to one of the many other Japanese restaurants, such as Tokyo Dining, Kicho or Kurose. The current rating of 4.2 is absolutely incomprehensible for us. The Kikuya doesn't have a pleasant atmosphere. Either you sit in the narrow hallway at a raised table for two, or you take a seat at one of the two long tables. At the long table you sit on the floor and close to other guests. This is nothing for a nice evening for two. At most if you come with a larger group. The service is OK, but depending on the service sometimes more or less friendly. The second main course only came when the first was already completely eaten. Although a starter was ordered for the first. Unfortunately, the dishes cannot compensate for this at all. The prices are clearly too high for the quality offered and you can tell that the owners are not Japanese. If you have to order rice that is also mushy for a dish that costs 14 € and consists of 40% salad, 40% sauce and 20% beef, then you have to order rice that is also mushy don't take a restaurant seriously as a Japanese. The Kikuya Bento offers a good combination of different dishes, but the taste was rather disappointing. The sesame dressing on the wakame salad didn't taste right at all. The fish quality of the sashimi was ok, the fried salmon tasted very bland. The deep-fried tofu was floating in a very salty sauce, so there was hardly any other taste apart from salt. The inside out sushi was not good quality either, as the rice was dry. We will definitely not be going back and will continue to visit the Japanese-run restaurants mentioned at the beginning, where you can get a much better quality for the same money.
A bit expensive, but definitely the best Japanese food in Stuttgart!
Good Japanese restaurant, quiet and cozy. Expensive, but the setting is good for a group hangout
Worst service ever! Noodle was not even cooked. hard to chew... serving waitress was rude. Owner does not know the "service". Wasn't worth a penny
another Japanese restaurant that is Chinese owned in Stuttgart. As my wife is Japanese we hope one day someone will open up a real Japanese Restaurant in Stuttgart. Food was very average flavours bland.. Will not be returning.
Delicious :)
Super
ordered through foodora, food came without rice and there is no option anywhere to add rice. also fish quality was not up to the standard. sushi rolls came with almost no fish, just rice. not worth it for the price!
Since changing the menue this restaurant is taking a turn for worse. What used to be a great place with great food, service and appropriate pricing is now the opposite. I live in Switzerland and I am used to paying more at a restaurant. However payer Swiss pricing in a German average place is not acceptable. Almost 20 EUR for a lousy small portion of couple pieces of fried vegetables and two measly shrimps is beyond acceptable. Cigarette smoke coming from the kitchen area? No thanks. What used to be my favorite place when visiting Stuttgart is now clearly a nogo.
Nice Bento boxes for lunch.
Excellent food quality, although service not always at the highest standards (but acceptable). Recommendation: Check out the japanese eel (Unagi)
